The city of Bruges is the touristical top city of the country, being also the capital of the province of Western Flanders. Because of the many pittoresk canals which can be found all over the city center, Bruges has often been nicknamed “Venice of the north”. Bruges can be considered as a large exterior museum due to the many old streets, places and buildings.
